The Bungalow is the newest rental on the farm. Originally built by The Murray Family in 1952 as a summer camp, and owned for many years by Mr. Malcom Greve of New Jersey. We purchased it and began renovations in October of 2004.
Given its age, and after many years of very limited use, we started by completely gutting the building, putting it on a solid foundation, rewiring and re-plumbing, modifying the roof line, adding new metal roofing, completely insulating it, adding heat, adding a large wrap around deck and small, screened-in proch, installing hardwood floors, etc., etc.
Our first guests were the Williams Family, wonderful folks who have stayed with us for parts of many summers. The Williamses agreed to be our “beta testers” to let us know if all systems were working properly and if the place needed anything. We can’t thank them enough for their help.
The Bungalow has one private bedroom with a large walk-in closet, gas fireplace and ceiling fan. The combined living and cooking area also has another gas fireplace, flat screen TV/DVD player, a satellite TV receiver with HBO, as well as a very comfortable futon couch, and a small screened-in porch and nice deck. It sleeps up to 3 persons.
It is fully furnished and winterized, and comes equipped with refrigerator, gas stove, all cooking utensils and tableware, bed linens and towels, washer/dryer, color TV, radio, DVD player, dishwasher, telephone, 1 bath, Weber gas grill, and a large deck with furniture. Water is from a 100 foot drilled well. Lodging rates.
